Transmission media

Hello friends,
First of all i want to say sorry to you because since long time i did not post any article.
This article is about transmission media used by physical layer for data transfer. There are two transmission media. We will first discuss first what is transmission media.
Tranmission media is the way to tranmit raw bit from one layer to another tnrough channel.Basically there are two catagories for transmission media.
1)Based on direction of flow .
2)Bases on processing.
First we will discuss types of transmission media based on direction of flow.
Based in direction of flow. There are three types of transmission media:-
1. Simple transmission.
2. Half duplex transmission.
3. Full duplex transmission.
1. Simple transmission:-
In simple transmission data is transmitted from one node to another in one direction.
Ex. Transmit data from computer to printer.
2.Half duplex transmission:-
In this type of transmission media data can be transmit in both direction but not at same time.
Ex. On way road where some traffic travel in one direction then at same time another wait and after passing, it also pass in another direction.
3.Full duplex transmission:-
In this type data can be transmitted in both direction at same time.
Ex Two way road,in which in one side incoming of vhicle and on another directio outgoing.
Based on processing it is of two types:-
1.Serial processing
In Serial processing all the data bits transmit serially means one packet of bits at one time.It is simple method but takes too much time in transmission.

2. Parellel transmission
In this type of transmission bits transmitted in parellel manner means more data can be transmitted at same time.It is difficult to manage but speed of transmission is much greater.
Ok friends it is about transmission methods.I hope you get something from this post.I will write next post on some interesting and funny tricks.
So stay in touch.
Thank you.
